Calico France (ex JLB Informatique) expands its ECM portfolio with the acquisition of GedZilla, a cloud-native SaaS solution developed and hosted in France.

Calico IIM, a European document management group united by a proprietary AI platform, announces the acquisition of GedZilla by Calico France, its French subsidiary. The operation, completed just months after the group’s founding in January 2025, fits a clear strategy: acquire quality software assets, integrate them into experienced teams, and give them the technological resources to take the next step.

Calico France is a French company anchored in the information management landscape for more than 40 years, serving administrations, enterprises, and the non-profit sector.

By acquiring GedZilla, a modern SaaS document management platform, GDPR-compliant, ISO 27001 and CSA STAR certified, Calico France considerably broadens its catalogue. GedZilla is built for enterprises, local authorities, legal professionals, and public administrations looking to digitise and centralise their documents in the cloud, without compromise on data sovereignty. Developed and hosted in France, it offers all the essential features of an ECM platform.

LM-Kit: the proprietary AI platform that ties the group together

GedZilla will progressively benefit from the capabilities of LM-Kit, Calico IIM’s proprietary AI platform, designed without any dependency on third-party tools. Running locally on the customer’s infrastructure, it guarantees that data never leaves the customer’s environment, with no variable costs and no compromise on sovereignty. The first features planned for GedZilla include automatic document understanding, intelligent data extraction, and natural-language search.

At the same time, the Calico IIM group is announcing the integration of FileStream, an established player in the British EDMS sector for over 20 years, marking its entry into the United Kingdom market.

A consolidation strategy that continues
